Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago is seeking a skilled Audio Engineer to join their team. Under the guidance of the Technical Director and the Director of MultiMedia Communications, the Audio Engineer will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks. These include operating and maintaining all audio equipment used during worship services and related activities. The role also encompasses the production of broadcasts and podcasts for radio distribution, as well as voiceovers for television projects.
Candidates applying for this position should have a strong background in audio technology and sound engineering, which may include relevant experience and training. A technical or college degree focused on these areas will be advantageous. Applicants are also encouraged to have prior coursework in math and electronics.
The Audio Engineer will work approximately 40 hours per week based on a mutually agreed-upon schedule with the Production Technical Director. An important aspect of this role includes maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of others’ information while carrying out duties. The position may also require manual dexterity and the ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs, as well as assisting with all aspects of production as needed.
