American Music Institute (AMI) is seeking a talented voice instructor to join their team at their campuses located in Clarendon Hills and Downers Grove, IL. This part-time job offers an opportunity for dedicated educators who have a passion for teaching music.

Job Requirements

Applicants should hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance or Music Education. A teaching experience of at least two years is required, ensuring that candidates are well-versed in delivering high-quality instruction to students of all ages, whether in private or group lesson settings.

Responsibilities

The voice instructor will be responsible for assessing students’ musical progress and will work collaboratively with parents and the administrative staff for scheduling and communication purposes. Timely correspondence with the director, school staff, and parents will be paramount. Participation in faculty meetings is also expected, making communication skills essential for this role.

Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to convey instrumental techniques and concepts clearly, along with a personable and collaborative nature to effectively interact with students, families, and administration. A high level of musicianship, personal responsibility, and reliable transportation are also necessary. The working location for this position is in person, requiring regular access to a vehicle and residency in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $32.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on skills and qualifications.
