Blood Wizard has unveiled a new track titled "BIG FISH" as part of their upcoming album, Grinning William, which is set to drop on October 25, 2024, via Sad Club Records. The release is part of a series of singles that precede the album, which includes earlier tracks "babytooth" and "Devil Dressed In Disguise."
Cai Burns, the frontman of Blood Wizard, describes "BIG FISH" as the heaviest song on the album. He notes that the lyrics are derived from a demo he wrote during his previous band before forming Blood Wizard. "They were written during the death throes of that project, as I was dealing with the closing of a big chapter of my life," he explained. Burns emphasized his desire to create music with a more relaxed mindset, which he finds fulfilling now that the track has found its place on the new album.
Grinning William follows three years after Blood Wizard's acclaimed debut, Western Spaghetti. In addition to the single release, Blood Wizard is gearing up for a headline tour, culminating at The Lexington in London on December 6, 2024.
