Bass virtuoso Blu DeTiger has officially announced her collaboration with Fender to launch the limited edition Player Plus Jazz Bass. This unique instrument showcases a Sky Burst Sparkle finish complemented by chrome hardware and a mirrored pickguard. DeTiger's signature bass features custom Blu DeTiger Fireball bass humbucker and Player Plus noiseless jazz bass pickups. The bass’s lightweight ash body and satin maple neck are designed for optimal comfort, enhancing performance longevity with a bound 9.5 rosewood fingerboard.

Speaking on her collaboration, DeTiger stated, "This bass is a reflection of everything I love about playing. I wanted an instrument that could handle the diversity of sounds I create, from deep, funky grooves to melodic lines that cut through the mix. Fender and I worked closely together to make sure this bass not only looks amazing but sounds incredible in any setting."

Fender's Executive Vice President of Product, Justin Norvell, expressed excitement about the collaboration: "It's been such an exciting journey with Blu DeTiger to get to where we are today, celebrating the launch of her signature bass! Blu's innovative spirit and unique style resonate deeply with the next generation of players."

The Blu DeTiger x Player Plus Jazz Bass is available for purchase on the official Fender website for a retail price of $1,399. This new signature model joins the ranks of artist signature instruments from Fender, which includes well-known musicians like Kurt Cobain, Mike Dirnt, and Chrissie Hynde.

Further adding to her impressive portfolio, DeTiger’s recent performances include appearances on Saturday Night Live with Bleachers and lending her musical talents to Olivia Rodrigo’s film "Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film)". Her debut album "All I Ever Want Is Everything" has received positive critical acclaim, with NME noting its blend of intimacy and raw talent.

DeTiger has been a prominent figure in the music landscape, collaborating with artists such as Dominic Fike and Caroline Polachek and is recognized for her contributions to shaping pop music’s current direction.
