Newton Public Schools is currently seeking an Elementary Music Teacher to join their District Fine Arts program. The position is exempt and reports directly to the Principal and K-8 Fine Arts Coordinator. Additionally, desirable qualifications include strong musicianship, experience with various teaching methodologies such as Orff, Kodaly, and Conversational Solfege, proficient piano skills, and a broad knowledge of different musical styles and music history. Responsibilities will include teaching general music, conducting choirs, and leading band lessons.
