Elvis Costello has unveiled his upcoming box set titled King Of America & Other Realms, whose release is set for November 1, 2024. The six-disc Super Deluxe Edition will showcase his notable US adventures, coupled with previously unreleased demos and outtakes. This extensive collection reflects his enduring creative collaboration with producer T Bone Burnett.
The Super Deluxe Edition will be accompanied by a newly written 35-page essay, adorned with a plethora of rare photographs in a 57-page booklet. Both the CD and vinyl formats will be made available for fans, with pre-orders now open. The collection includes a remastered version of Costello's 1986 album King Of America on its first disc, along with highlights spanning his discography recorded in America.
The set will include live recordings from his previously unreleased concert from January 27, 1987 at the Royal Albert Hall, alongside solo demos recorded in 1985. Costello's extensive repertoire across various studios including those in Hollywood, New Orleans, and Nashville is represented in subsequent discs, featuring a mix of unreleased material and live show highlights.
