EMCO Technologies is looking for an Audio/Visual Engineer to join their Enterprise Video Services team in Greenbelt, MD. This position requires a proficient engineer with a solid understanding of Broadcast Video and Satellite transmission issues. Responsibilities include installing and managing essential equipment in a master control environment, such as switches, recorders, monitors, and character generators.
The role offers the chance to work closely with project customers to gather requirements and devise technical implementation strategies. A successful candidate will have experience in RF (C and Ku-band) analysis and testing. Management of various video sources, ranging from Standard Definition to Ultra High Definition (UHD), will also be a crucial part of the job. Additionally, maintaining Satellite antennas and overseeing Over the Air VHF and UHF antennas are integral responsibilities.
Candidates should have comprehensive knowledge of digital video content delivery methods and some proficiency in structured cabling systems. Excellent communication skills are also essential, as the engineer will interact with customers and co-workers frequently. Although the role is not a telework position, the ability to telework when necessary is expected.
