Eminem has officially released the deluxe Expanded Mourner's Edition of his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grce), on September 13, 2024. This new version includes an additional track titled "Fuel," featuring Westside Boogie and Grip, along with two previously released songs, "Like My S**t" and "Kyrie & Luka" featuring 2 Chainz.
The deluxe edition also contains a comedic "Steve Berman Skit" aimed at dedicated fans. The anticipation for this deluxe version increased after Eminem was announced as the opening performer at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. This led to the confirmation of the rumors through a cinematic trailer shared on X (formerly Twitter), which promotes the album expansion. In this trailer, Eminem humorously depicts his character in a convenience store where he accidentally spills milk, resulting in a Slim Shady "missing persons" ad appearing in the sequence.
This new edition follows the original release of the album, which experienced immediate success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 281,000 units sold in its first week, marking Eminem's tenth consecutive solo No. 1 album and eleventh overall.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grce) features collaborations with notable artists including Big Sean, BabyTron, Bizarre, and Ez Mil, and incorporates lyrical references to over 80 renowned personalities.
The full tracklist of the deluxe edition includes hits like "Renaissance," "Evil," and "Houdini," as well as skits that reflect Eminem's signature humor and storytelling.
