Linkin Park has officially announced their comeback after years of speculation surrounding their future. In a recent livestream event, the band revealed a new lineup featuring Emily Armstrong, formerly of Dead Sara, as the new lead singer, and Colin Brittain as the new drummer. During the event, they performed a new song titled "The Emptiness Machine" alongside various classics from their discography.

The band also disclosed that they will release a new album, titled "From Zero," set to drop on November 15, 2024. The album captures both a retrospective and progressive essence, as it connects their early days as Xero with the contemporary landscape of music, according to Mike Shinoda. He shared, "Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life."

Linkin Park will kick off a short world tour with six dates beginning September 11, including a performance at London’s O2 arena on September 24. The tour’s pre-sales for their LP Underground fan club started on September 6, with general ticket sales going live on the official Linkin Park website on September 7.

Shinoda detailed the years leading to this reunion, explaining that the collaboration with new members began in 2019 and involved various music writing sessions before officially taking shape as Linkin Park. Bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell admitted to initially resisting the idea of creating new music following Chester Bennington's death in 2017, but now feels invigorated by the new direction the band is taking.

For those looking to catch Linkin Park on tour, the confirmed dates are as follows:

  • September 11: Kia Forum, Los Angeles, California
  • September 16: Barclays Center, New York, New York
  • September 22: Barclays Arena, Hamburg, Germany
  • September 24: The O2, London, UK
  • September 28: INSPIRE Arena, Seoul, South Korea
  • November 11: Coliseo Medplus, Bogota, Colombia

"From Zero" is available for pre-order now. This marks a significant moment for the band as they embrace an evolved identity while honoring their past.
