Linkin Park has officially announced a refreshing new lineup and their first new music release in seven years, signaling a new chapter for the band. The surviving original members — Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn — have introduced Emily Armstrong, frontwoman of Dead Sara, as their new co-vocalist, and Colin Brittain stepping in as the replacement drummer for Rob Bourdon.

The upcoming album, titled ‘From Zero,’ is inspired by the band’s early beginnings as Xero. Mike Shinoda reflects on the project, describing it as a journey through the past, present, and future, maintaining their signature sound but infused with new energy:

"It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what LINKIN PARK has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead."

After regrouping quietly in recent years without any intention of continuing following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington, Shinoda noted that their creative chemistry led them to collaborate with Armstrong and Brittain.

Shinoda further explained how their collaborative efforts with the newcomers brought a sense of empowerment and vitality, stating:

"The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created."

Their new single, 'The Emptiness Machine', is set to stream on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, providing fans with a first taste of their revived sound.
