Oasis has revealed the details of a private ballot aimed at allowing more fans to secure tickets for its extra reunion shows at Wembley Stadium next September. This announcement follows the overwhelming demand that led to the rapid sellout of initial dates after the band’s return was confirmed at the end of August. Tickets for the first run of shows, set for late July and early August 2025, were gone within hours, causing significant frustration among fans who faced long queues and encountered dynamic pricing issues during sales. In an effort to address the backlash, Oasis announced on September 4 that they would add two extra dates, September 27 and 28, 2025. However, those looking to purchase tickets will have to navigate a more controlled sales process. Invitations to participate in the private ballot will be dispatched to fans who registered on Ticketmaster UK accounts prior to the sign-up window on August 31. Specifically, those who were placed in a queue but did not secure a ticket will be notified of how to register. While entering the ballot does not guarantee a code for ticket purchase, it provides an opportunity for fans to experience the highly anticipated shows. Moreover, due to recent criticisms, Oasis has warned fans against purchasing tickets through secondary markets, stating that any such attempts will lead to cancellation. The controversy surrounding dynamic pricing has extended beyond fan anger, with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy calling for an examination of the practice and the Competition and Markets Authority now investigating the incident. The company's system for ticket pricing has come under scrutiny, with experts claiming that Ticketmaster may have infringed consumer protection laws by failing to alert fans to the dynamic pricing strategy, which Oasis claims they were unaware would be employed at the time of announcement. The complete lineup of reunion shows remains highly sought after and includes numerous sold-out dates across the UK and Ireland from July to September 2025.
