Poppy has unveiled a heavy new single titled "They're All Around Us," released on September 17. This latest track showcases Poppy's continued evolution within the metal genre and is a highly collaborative effort, co-written with Jordan Fish, former member of Bring Me The Horizon, and Stephen Harrison, the ex-guitarist of Fever 333 and The Chariot. Fish also took on the role of producer for the song, further intertwining the talents of these musicians.

Poppy, who first garnered attention on YouTube in the early 2010s before signing a major label deal in 2014, is known for genre-blurring music that frequently shifts between styles. Her earlier works include the art pop album "Poppy Computer" and the nu metal-influenced follow-up "Am I A Girl?". Her 2020 release, "I Disagree," received acclaim for its darker tones, while last year's eclectic album "Zig" showcased a myriad of influences and received positive reviews, including an 8/10 rating from Metal Hammer's Dannii Leivers.

Commenting on her artistic approach, Poppy has expressed that she views her albums as "timestamps" in her life, suggesting her diverse sound is a reflection of her exploration through various musical influences rather than a mere trend-following venture.

In addition to the new single, Poppy is expected to release a companion album to "Zig," which will be fully produced by Fish. The anticipation continues to build around her music as she has upcoming tour dates set for North and South America in 2024.

2024 Tour Dates:

  • Sep 29: Louisville Louder Than Life, KY
  • Oct 10-13: Sacramento Aftershock, CA
  • Oct 12: San Bernardino Mayhem Festival, CA
  • Oct 19-20: São Paulo Knotfest Brasil, Brazil
  • Nov 2: Uoa Knotfest Chile, Chile
