Seefeel has made a much-anticipated return with their new album, "Everything Squared," marking the band's first new material since 2011. This record, released on September 4, 2024, contains six tracks and spans a total of 26 minutes.

The album's genesis can be traced back through an extensive creative process led by founding member Mark Clifford, who sifted through approximately 120 compositions to curate this release. Vocalist Sarah Peacock and guest bassist Shigeru Ishihara contributed to the songwriting, reaffirming the collaborative spirit of the project. Known for their unique blend of ambient, techno, and shoegaze elements, Seefeel continues to explore their sonic boundaries in "Everything Squared."

Tracks like "Sky Hooks," "Multifolds," and "Lose The Minus" showcase a deliberate pacing and ethereal melodies, layered over minimalist percussion. Peacock’s vocals are heavily processed, often unrecognizably woven into the instrumentation, creating a dream-like atmosphere. Thematically, the album progresses from blissful tones in the initial tracks to a deeper, darker exploration in songs like "Antiskeptic" and "Hooked Paw."

Despite the complexity of the soundscapes, the album retains a sense of accessibility that invites listeners into its cryptic world. Seefeel, still firmly grounded in their experimental roots, demonstrates an ongoing evolution while drawing on their rich history.

Fans of ambient and electronic music can purchase and stream the album through Bandcamp.
