The Weeknd has officially announced the release of his newest single, "Dancing in the Flames," which is the lead track from his upcoming album, "Hurry Up Tomorrow." This project is notable as it serves as the third and final installment in his acclaimed trilogy which includes "After Hours" and "Dawn FM."

In a unique twist, the music video for "Dancing in the Flames" was shot entirely on the newly released iPhone 16 Pro. Directed by Anton Tammi and shot by director of photography Erik Henrikkson, the music video showcases the capabilities of the latest technology from Apple. During Apple's recent "It's Glowtime" event, behind-the-scenes footage revealed the team filmed in stunning 4K 120fps with Dolby Vision support. Henrikkson commented on the use of the iPhone 16 Pro, stating that it effectively blurs the lines between what is considered professional and amateur filmmaking, expressing his amazement at the phone's ability to handle contrasting lighting conditions, especially with strong highlights and deep blacks.

The announcement comes on the heels of Apple revealing its new iPhone lineup, including the iPhone 16 and AirPods 4. The amalgamation of high-end music production and smartphone technology marks a significant moment in music video production.

Fans are already speculating about what they can expect from "Hurry Up Tomorrow," following the success of The Weeknd's previous records. The video for "Dancing in the Flames" can be viewed here.
