Vancouver-based band Peach Pit has unveiled the official video for their latest single "Magpie," which serves as the title track for their forthcoming fourth studio album. Set to be released by Columbia Records on October 25, the single features a captivating rolling percussive melody paired with explosive guitar solos, setting an exciting tone for the album.

The song's narrative revolves around a fictional character—a down-and-out individual whose struggles with alcohol and a hedonistic lifestyle lead them to the less glamorous corners of society, like strip club bars. Frontman Neil Smith elaborates on the song's personal significance, noting that it reflects the path he feared he might take if he hadn’t decided to quit drinking. In his words, "I had two paths ahead of me in life: one good and one bad."

Musically, "Magpie" has been described by the band as their take on a Paul McCartney rock song reminiscent of Wings, illustrating their passion for classic rock influences while infusing their unique sound.
