Teezo Touchdown has recently shared his thoughts regarding being name-dropped by Kendrick Lamar in the track "Not Like Us." This song, officially launched in April 2024, features Lamar taking jabs at Drake, igniting a high-profile feud in the hip-hop world. The track quickly climbed to prominence, becoming one of TikTok's Songs of the Summer and was a top contender, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 while breaking streaming records on Spotify.

In an interview with Billboard, Touchdown revealed that he was initially unaware of Lamar’s reference until after the fact. He expressed feeling honored to be associated with such high-caliber artists, noting, "I made a decision that I wasn't going to listen to any of the back-and-forth; I'm seeing a mob mentality, and I don't like division. Sorry I'm so kumbaya, but it's all love over here." He further emphasized how surreal it is to be recognized by major figures in the industry.

Lamar's mention is just one aspect of the ongoing Drake and Lamar feud that has captured public interest. Drake himself has also extended support to Touchdown, promoting his music ahead of his debut album, "How Do You Sleep At Night?," and expressing admiration for the Texas artist's work. As reported, Drake took to Instagram to praise Touchdown after listening to his recent output, adding a personal note by saying it was great music that he was pleased to support.

Moreover, the aftermath of this feud has spurred various reactions from other hip-hop icons. André 3000 noted the situation left him feeling "a little sad," while Questlove likened the exchanges to a wrestling match. Recently, Mustard, who produced "Not Like Us," voiced a skepticism of Drake’s character, calling him a "strange guy." In an even more dramatic turn, billionaire Michael Rubin reportedly banned the song from his annual party due to Drake's presence.

In addition to the name-drop in "Not Like Us," Touchdown continues to make waves in the music scene, recently releasing a pop-punk track titled "None Of Your Business" for the "Despicable Me 4" soundtrack. This continued momentum suggests that Teezo Touchdown is solidifying his stance as an influential name in modern hip-hop culture.
